Description: This workshop will introduce you to the latest tools and functionality of the Google web space. Participants will review the latest set of free Google productivity tools including their Word Processor, Spreadsheet, and Presentation tools. Because these tools are web-based, you can use them whether you have a Windows or Apple computer. This also means that you can use these tools from your PC at work and then access and work on the same files from your Mac at home. All you need is an internet connection and a Gmail or Google+ account.
In this workshop we will:
1. Use the Google Document tool to create a document and demonstrate how this tool possesses much of the same functionality found in Microsoft Word but without the cluttered and confusing interface.
2. Create a document in the Google Spreadsheet tool and demonstrate how this document can be shared and worked on collaboratively with others at the same time.
3. Use the Google Presentation tool to create a complete and professional slide presentation and demonstrate how this can be shared and viewed across the web using the Google cloud-based services.
4. Review the Google Drive environment to reveal how it can be used to maintain and share all of the documents we created using the Google toolset.
Total Hours: 4 hours
Total Cost: $25.00 (Includes Lunch)
